1. REMINDER: Dates / deadlines as Archie workflows are being retired
Please remember that Archie workflows are being retired shortly. The following actions are recommended for items that have been submitted to CES: To make these deadlines, you may also wish to schedule publication from Archie to release Licence for Publication forms in advance. Once the forms are in, you can re-mark a corrected version for publication (you do not need to Unmark for publication, as this will remove completed LfP forms) and/or choose to edit the scheduled date.

a. New Decision Letters to support the publication pipeline now in Editorial Manager Cochrane Editorial and Methods recently provided guidance to UK groups on handling title proposals and new updates to ensure the future of evidence synthesis within Cochrane.
Please:
- Continue to accept titles in high-priority areas, even if authors will need to work independently to produce the protocol
- Reject titles in non-priority areas
- Allow authors to begin work on priority updates, even if authors will need to work independently to produce the review update
New Decision Letters in Editorial Manager are available to send to authors. Please see guidance in the Knowledge Base.UK groups have also been asked to update group websites with the text provided by EMD. If you post the text as a news item, please also remove any restrictions on registration of new titles or updates - e.g. on your webpage for prospective authors. If you would like a copy of the template text, or have any queries about this, please contact Cochrane Support.

3. Declaration of Interest statement-writing service
When the Conflict of Interest Policy for Cochrane Library Content (2020) was introduced, the Editorial & Methods Department offered to assist with the creation of one-off declaration of interest (DoI) statements for new titles registered, and new updates begun on or after 14 October 2020.
Unfortunately, due to staff changes within the Central Executive team, we no longer have the capacity to offer this statement-writing service. The relevant Declaration of Interest writing task has therefore been removed from all Editorial Manager sites, and no further requests can be made. Statements currently in progress will be returned to groups at the latest by 13 December.
Corresponding Authors are able to view co-authors’ declarations of interest in Editorial Manager, if you wish to ask authors to prepare this statement. Please see our guidance for MEs on using Convey.
If you have any questions about this, please contact Cochrane Support.

5. Update to the Cochrane Library navigation
Changes have been introduced https://www.cochranelibrary.com/about/releases to the right hand navigation on Reviews, Editorials and so on to make it easier for readers to find the content they need on the Library.
Key actions such as “Print” and “Share” are made more visible to guide readers, article metrics such as Altmetrics and usage in guidelines are more prominent to highlight value, and “Related Content” has been revised to better showcase available dissemination products like podcasts.
Many thanks to all the Community members who participated in our user research for this feature. If you would like to get involved in future user research, please see Task Exchange. https://taskexchange.cochrane.org/tasks/2276

6. Methods Support Unit special web clinic on including different study designs and evidence: recording available
Cochrane's Methods Support Unit led a special web clinic focussing on the practicalities of implementation faced by staff and editors for public health intervention reviews. This included issues relating to complexity, non-randomised studies of interventions and synthesis without meta-analysis, where leads from five ongoing methods projects to tackle these challenges gave updates on what they plan to achieve. Catch-up on recordings here.
